Integrated Agri-Food Supply Chain Model: An Application of IoT and Blockchain

In agri-food supply chains (ASC), consumers purchase goods from farmers. During this process, customers emphasize the need for safety, while producers hope to enhance their revenues. Due dynamism and complexity of Bangladesh ASC, traceability control encounter formidable obstacles. reliance on intermediaries, legal financial hurdles, Ethereum-based solutions, etc., however, most existing solutions cannot adequately meet management needs ASC. To solve these issues, authors proposed an integrated Agri-food chain (IASC) model. study, a systematic review literature was conducted using thematic analysis method. portion model, depicted linear physical flow illustrate relationship function intermediaries explain ASC’s dependence intermediaries. The approach incorporates Blockchain technology IoT promote transparency, minimize mistake, prevent product delays, remove unethical illegal actions, improve (SC) management, track whereabouts goods, eventually increase consumer supplier trust. article also mentions that crypto currency-based transactions between stakeholders in are now unlawful Bangladesh. For blockchain API, mobile banking digital payment-based solution has been proposed. Finally, blockchain-based Hyperledger Sawtooth API suggested so clients can trace entire history by scanning QR code packaging. Since Bangladesh’s economy is primarily based agriculture, research assist boosting economy. paper would contribute reduction corruption improvement firmer/grower satisfaction. findings pave way future studies implement ASC without relying solutions.
